Will it work on my model? LG G3 in Download Mode, Model Information Check Fail on. There has been people reporting issues with the LG Flash Tool on. Lg Flash Tool Download Fail Model Information Check. 0 Comments Return to Stock Un. Extract the Setup LG Flash Tool.zip file to your.

I'm going crazy here and I need my phone to work! I have an LG G3 on Verizon. I rooted it and edited a part of build.prop to change the DPI which got the phone stuck in a boot loop and kept popping up 'the process com.android.systemui has stopped.

I tried clearing cache I tried booting in safe mode I then did a factory reset My phone boots up to the Setup Wizard screen but I am STILL getting that systemui error and a com.android.phone and I can't get any further than that screen. I then tried to use the LG FlashTool to just wipe the entire ROM and replace it with the stock one from Verizon. This gave me a 'Model Information Check FAIL!' Error but I DO have the right ROM for my phone.

There's only one for the Verizon G3 as far as I can tell This led me to realizing that there is something in the build.prop that's making LGFlashTool think the proper rom actually isn't right. I then installed the Android SDK so I can ADB into my phone. But whenever I run 'abd devices' nothing shows up in the list. I was told USB Debugging needs to be turned on in order for this to work, I don't remember if it's turned on or not with my phone and I can't get past the Setup Wizard to edit anything. I wonder if ADB is even running properly on my phone or if these errors are stopping it?

I will gladly paypal someone $20 if they can get this working for me. Try taking the battery out to see if that helps with the system ui crashes. At this point having usb debugging on or off does not matter. If LG flashtool recognizes phone to tell you its wrong model number that's something.

Have you installed the correct drivers to your computer? Did you extract the zip for the tot and dll file? Do those match your model number?

Lg flash tool dll

Did you replace the megalock.dll file? Are you sure you are in download and com port set to 41? As the moderator stated are you sure you didn't change the model number are download rom for different model number?

(people make mistakes, doesn't hurt to triple check everything If adb shell does not recognize phone then you have to force driver install. This can be found in adb setup at theunlockr.com Its a good idea to make sure these things are ready to go BEFORE you need them. Edit: I meant usb debugging not needed for lg flashtool. Abd will not work in non working phone that is having a system ui crash.

So heres my issue, ATT G2. Installed clean rom xe 1.1 then was dumb and used titanium to restore my app data, not system, just app. But someone that caused a system ui to keep crashing, so I got into recovery mode by holding down and power button (white screen that asks to reset to factory). Did that and it booted to TWRP ran a script and then went back to LG screen and then blank screen with flashing led and that's where it stayed, won't go any further. I've put it in download mode now and am using LG flash tool but when I plug the phone in the box for COM41 in the flash tool just says waiting for connection and thats it. Then when I unplug it it says failed, obviously. Is my phone a brick or can it be saved?

Is my phone a brick or can it be saved? LOL, i just went through the same thing.

I'll be posting a fix tonight I worked out with Scott. 'There is a 'back door' method. This is why they updated TWRP by the way. Download this: Extract it to desktop.

Open the command.bat file. Type 'adb reboot recovery' then press enter.

You need to keep doing this during the factory reset. This assumes you have drivers installed.

If you have no drivers installed for recovery mode then just select generic Google Nexus ADB drivers. You kinda have to hammer the reboot recovery command. Its all timing. To hammer it. Press the up arrow in the dos prompt and that will repeat the line. Then press enter.

Keep doing it until you see it reboot to twrp and you should be able to sideload or load from storage. It may take 10 or 15 minutes to get the exact right timing so dont give up. And of course, this is all dependent upon you having the drivers already installed.' - Scott For timing, you'll need to wait right when TWRP starts writing the script and start hammering it out.

Timing is everything so when you see the TWRP screen starting hitting the up cursor and enter. It should load recovery. Don't bother using the tool, it won't work as it thinks your device is a D802 and won't be compatible with the dll. This will get you back to normal and from here you can just wipe and reinstall the rom again fresh with out losing media/data on the your drive.
